Organizers of anti-Ukrainian rallies funded by Russia have been exposed in Poland
The SBU’s Counterintelligence Directorate, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Poland, has exposed 11 individuals who, acting on behalf of the Russian Federation, organized a series of anti-Ukrainian rallies in Poland during 2025–2026.
Following an international investigation, two Belarusian citizens and nine Ukrainian citizens involved in planning these events were identified on EU territory. These included five staged “protest” events in Warsaw and Wrocław, inspired and funded by the Kremlin.
The organizers of these staged rallies, acting on instructions from their handlers in Moscow, recruited potential participants, briefed them, distributed provocative campaign materials, and paid participants in cash, offering $100–200 for a single appearance as part of a crowd. The street “protests” organized by the Russian Federation in European cities were aimed at discrediting Ukraine on the international stage and destabilizing the socio-political situation in EU countries. Currently, all identified individuals have been deported to their countries of origin, and the actions of the suspects from Ukraine will be subject to legal assessment depending on the degree of culpability of each individual. International investigative and operational efforts are currently underway to bring all organizers of pro-Kremlin provocations to justice.
This was reported by the SBU.
