Deliveries of the new Skat-220 drone have begun in Russia
The Kalashnikov Concern has begun delivering its newly developed "Skat-220" unmanned aerial vehicles to a customer.
This was reported by the company’s Telegram channel, citing Russian propaganda media.
The drone is based on the Skat-350M model and has a wingspan of 2.2 meters and weighs about 12 kilograms. Thanks to its light weight, it can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h, which is a record for aircraft in this class.
The “Skat-220” is equipped with an electric motor and can remain airborne for over 150 minutes. It is launched using a catapult and lands via parachute. According to the manufacturer, the aircraft is designed for monitoring natural areas, use in agriculture, and surveying facilities in the fuel and energy sector.
