Saudi Arabia says danger in Abs and Khamis Mushait has passed
Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense forces issued a warning about a potential danger in the Khamis Mushait governorate and the city of Abha in Asir Province in the country’s southwest. The agency later reported that the danger to these areas had passed.

In a statement on the social network X, the Civil Defense service urged people not to gather or film. The situation was reported by Anadolu Agency.

Fighting in Yemen
The warning came amid intensified fighting in neighboring Yemen. The Houthis said they had taken control of strategic territories near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, including the Hays and Al Khawkhah areas in the western part of Al Hudaydah province.
Clashes between Yemen’s government forces and the Houthis also intensified on several fronts, including in the provinces of Taiz, Al Jawf, and Al Bayda. Amid the fighting, airstrikes were carried out on Houthi positions. The conflict in Yemen has continued since 2014, when the Houthis seized the capital, Sanaa, and several provinces. In 2015, a Saudi Arabia-led coalition intervened in support of Yemen’s internationally recognized government.
