Tasmanian man charged with murder appears in court — ABC News Australia
In Tasmania, Australia, 42-year-old Dominic Alexander Carbonari appeared before the Devonport Magistrates Court on a charge of murdering a 48-year-old man in the north-western town of Railton. The accused, who lives in Tarlton, attended Friday's hearing via video link from Risdon Prison.
Report of an assault
As ABC News reports, Tasmania Police said emergency services arrived at a home in Railton on Wednesday morning following reports of an assault on a man. Police allege that Carbonari left the scene but was arrested nearby shortly afterwards.

The man was charged on Thursday after the Railton resident died at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Police said the accused and the deceased knew each other.
Next hearing
Magistrate Duncan Fairley adjourned the case until 26 October. Dominic Alexander Carbonari will remain in custody until that date.
