In the United Kingdom, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, moved their children — seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet — to another school several days after the start of the school year. The reason was security concerns, NBC News reports.

Archie and Lilibet were enrolled in a school whose name has not been disclosed after the family moved last month from Montecito, California, to the United Kingdom. After several days of classes, the children were transferred to another institution.
A representative for Harry and Meghan said the decision was made after discussions with the security team about practical aspects of the existing security measures. The parents thanked the teachers and staff at the first school for their care for the family and stressed that the transfer was not an assessment of the institution's work or the care provided there.

Distance and traffic congestion
NBC News royal correspondent Emily Nash, who is also royal editor of HELLO! magazine, said the school was located a considerable distance from the family's residence in the United Kingdom. According to her, traffic congestion complicated travel and could increase the family's vulnerability to threats. HELLO! Magazine was the first to report the school change.
The couple are also awaiting a decision on their request for state-funded security. A government committee was due to consider providing protection, as the family's residence in the United Kingdom had become more permanent. The location of Harry and Meghan's new home has not been disclosed.
The family returned to the United Kingdom for an extended period after six years of living in California. In 2020, Harry and Meghan stepped back from senior royal duties and left the United Kingdom.
