Ukraine will receive more than €300,000 in winter aid from Estonia

Estonia has provided Ukraine with more than 300,000 euros in aid to help it prepare for the coming winter.

The funds are intended to help Ukraine strengthen its preparedness for potential disruptions in electricity and heating supply during the cold season.

The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the country continues to support Ukraine as it prepares for another difficult winter amid the war, and has therefore allocated 340,000 euros for these purposes.

It is noted that the aid will be provided through partner NGOs. As emphasized by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the main focus will be on frontline areas, where needs are most acute, as well as on supporting families, displaced persons, and Ukrainian rescue workers.

The Estonian ministry posted this on social media platform X.

Estonia has completed construction of the new “Kipu” radar station on the island of Hiiumaa, which is equipped with a state-of-the-art French Ground Master 400 Alpha radar system. The new complex is capable of detecting air targets at a distance of up to 515 km and an altitude of up to 30 km, which significantly strengthens the country’s air surveillance system.

Estonia has already secured 80% of its border with Russia.
