The CIA has warned Europe that Putin is planning a hybrid attack — Bloomberg

The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has warned European countries of a possible attack by Russia.

According to Bloomberg sources in the intelligence community, there are signs that Russian intelligence and security agencies are considering “hybrid operations” that could affect the Baltic states and Poland.

These could include sabotage against infrastructure facilities and “false-flag” operations. At the same time, it cannot be ruled out that the Kremlin is simply trying to create the appearance of preparing a hybrid attack in order to sow fear as part of its information campaign, one of Bloomberg’s sources emphasized. There are no signs that Russia is currently preparing a conventional invasion of European countries, the agency’s source added.

Bloomberg reported this, citing an official from one of the European countries.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the Russian army could attack a NATO member country within the next five years. This would test the alliance’s resilience.

Before meeting with an American delegation consisting of U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, dictator Putin stated that Russia is allegedly ready to go to war with Europe but has no such intention.

In the event of a Russian attack on NATO members, the Alliance could launch a preemptive strike against targets on Russian territory, according to Admiral Rob Bauer, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers it entirely possible that Russia could open a second front against another European country even before the war in Ukraine ends.
