Video: A wildfire in France destroyed more than 50 homes and a campground
A massive wildfire in southwestern France, in the Gironde department, has destroyed 53 homes and a tourist campground. As the fire spread, authorities evacuated about 40,000 people.
According to local authorities, the fire has already spread to 10,000 hectares. At the same time, firefighters managed to protect about 2,000 homes from the flames.

During firefighting operations, 27 firefighters required medical attention. Five of them were hospitalized due to smoke inhalation, and another sustained a leg injury after a gas cylinder exploded.
