Video: Lukashenko Threatened to Send Officials Armed with Assault Rifles to the Border with Ukraine
Belarus’s self-proclaimed president, Alexander Lukashenko, stated that officials and workers who fail to fulfill their duties or violate labor discipline during the harvest may be assigned to units deployed along the border with Ukraine.
During a meeting, he instructed the Ministry of Defense to send such individuals to the army after brief training. According to Lukashenko, this will apply not only to agricultural workers but also to officials at all levels.
At the same time, he reiterated that Belarus allegedly has no plans to attack neighboring states, and that the military forces in the southern sector are only carrying out security missions.

As a reminder, Lukashenko stated that Belarusian military personnel will not take part in the war against Ukraine.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that one should not be naive about Belarus’s role in Russia’s war against Ukraine. According to him, Minsk is under Moscow’s strong influence, and most of the Belarusian government’s decisions are effectively dictated by the Kremlin.
