Victoria Starmer took part in designer Edeline Lee’s show during London Fashion Week in the United Kingdom. The wife of former Prime Minister Keir Starmer was one of the models at the presentation of the spring-summer 2027 collection, held in the gymnasium of Haverstock School in the Chalk Farm area of north London.

As The Guardian reports, Starmer wore a bright turquoise knitted midi dress with a high neckline, pleated details and short sculptural sleeves. The look was completed with white chunky-heeled shoes.

The models’ preparations before going on stage were organised directly in front of the audience rather than backstage. Dancers rehearsed in the hall next to the runway, while a drone observed the action from above. Starmer was also photographed having makeup applied beside the runway, with football goals in the background.

The show featured ballerinas and dancers in bright red costumes inspired by synchronised swimming.

Inspired by the myth of Sisyphus

Lee created the collection based on the ancient Greek myth of Sisyphus, who was condemned to roll a stone uphill only for it to roll back down each time. The designer said she wanted to convey the feeling of an unceasing cycle and show the discipline and work behind the brief moment of a stage performance.

Edeline Lee is a Canadian-British designer working in London. Her clothes have also been worn by the Princess of Wales, singer Taylor Swift, and actress and screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge. In 2024, Victoria Starmer had already attended Lee’s show during London Fashion Week.
