Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng will visit the United States for talks on economic and trade issues. China’s Ministry of Commerce announced the upcoming visit, Anadolu Agency reported.
Timing of the talks
According to the Chinese ministry, He Lifeng’s trip will begin on Saturday and last until Wednesday. The sides plan to discuss economic and trade issues of mutual interest to China and the United States.

The Chinese vice premier is expected to hold talks with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. The visit will take place ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s expected trip to the United States: President Donald Trump is reportedly set to receive him at the White House on September 24.

Bilateral trade between the world’s two largest economies in 2025 was estimated at $414.7 billion.
