Media: Orbán's planes may have been used to transport money and valuables out of Russia

Hungarian investigative journalist Szabolcs Páni stated that government and private aircraft linked to Hungarian officials may have been used to smuggle large sums of money and valuables out of Russia.

According to him, such operations may have taken place in secret. Meanwhile, the Hungarian government is accusing the journalist himself of espionage.

The journalist wrote about this on Facebook.

The investigator reported that similar information began to surface as early as 2016–2017 within the national security services of EU and NATO countries.

Pani stated that he managed to obtain confirmation that government and private planes from Hungary were returning from Russia loaded with cash and valuables, from officials in at least six different countries.

The journalist clarified that the sources did not obtain this information by wiretapping or surveilling Hungarian officials. Instead, they had wiretapped Russian officials who were discussing the preparation of such cargo.
