Blackpink's Jisoo talks about debut album
South Korean singer and actress Jisoo, a member of Blackpink, is preparing to release her debut album and hopes listeners will see more of her personality and her view of the world. She told Interview magazine about this, Channel NewsAsia reports.
Different sides of the artist
The 31-year-old performer said she has changed since the release of her previous music, and her way of expressing herself has changed along with it. At the same time, Jisoo does not want to explain all the details of the upcoming record, as she believes it is more interesting when people discover them on their own.
According to her, the album will include tracks with a confident and playful mood, as well as more emotional songs. The singer called each of them a separate version of herself: some tracks, she said, are very close to her character, while through others she is still getting to know herself.

Acting experience
Jisoo also said that acting has taught her to pay closer attention to emotions. Reflecting on the behavior of characters and their hidden feelings, she said, prompted her to think about her own inner state as well.
In her opinion, this experience has also helped her in music: she can focus more on conveying feelings rather than striving to make everything perfect. In the future, Jisoo would like to play a character people would not expect from her, including trying herself again in a darker or creepier role.
On September 4, the singer released a new song, Click.
