Lida Lee shared the story of Lulu, a dog rescued from the occupation
Singer Lida Lee introduced her dog Lulu, whom she calls her “Kherson watermelon.” The artist shared how she adopted the dog from a shelter after it was rescued from the occupied territory.
She posted a series of photos with her pup on Instagram and described the challenges they faced. But Lida considers the decision to adopt this dog one of the best of her life.
“I don’t know what my life would have been like without Lulu, but I can say one thing for sure… I don’t regret a thing. It was definitely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made,” wrote Lida Lee.
“Before meeting her, I—like many people—had a lot of worries. She’d already gone through some painful experiences in life—would she be able to trust again? How could I help her on this journey? How would our life together change? But then Lulu came along, and it turned out that many of the stereotypes about shelter animals exist only in our heads. Every little tail is completely unique, with its own personality, habits, and life story. A small, devoted heart that also wants care, safety, and a person who won’t let her down,” the singer emphasized.
Lida Lee said she is very happy to become an ambassador for a social campaign that will debunk the most common myths about adoption, answer important questions, and share stories about these furry friends.
“So, if you’ve ever thought about adopting a pet from a shelter—go for it! Yes, it might not be easy at first, but trust me, over time you’ll get so much more than just a pet—you’ll gain a true friend who will become part of your family and your home,” the singer urged.
