Prices for agricultural land in Ukraine have fallen: how much does a hectare cost?
The average price per hectare of agricultural land in Ukraine in April was 69,468 UAH, which is 9.4% lower than in March.
This is according to data from Opendatabot.
The most expensive land remains in the western regions and in the Kyiv region. The Ivano-Frankivsk region became the leader in terms of cost per hectare, where the price rose from 172,757 UAH in March to 246,873 UAH in April.
The top five regions with the most expensive land also included:
— Lviv Oblast — 180,153 UAH per hectare;
— Ternopil Oblast — 134,872 UAH;
— Kyiv Oblast — 123,909 UAH;
— Volyn Oblast — 100,274 UAH.
At the same time, land sales volumes declined in April. A total of 21,965 hectares were sold during the month, compared to 24,085 hectares in March.
The lowest prices were recorded in regions close to the combat zone:
— Mykolaiv Oblast — 41,040 UAH per hectare;
— Sumy Oblast — 42,979 UAH;
— Donetsk Oblast — 43,613 UAH.
Over the past year, prices for meat and meat products in Ukraine have risen by up to 45% in some areas. Beef remains the most expensive—its price continues to hover at record levels. Experts predict that by the end of winter, meat prices could rise by another 5–7%.
