The Gurkit RUN-2026 race will take place in Kyiv in early June
On June 6, 2026, the annual Gurkit RUN-2026 charity race will take place in Kyiv at the VDNG Urban Park, with the aim of raising funds to support the Ukrainian military. 100% of the proceeds will go toward supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The race is organized by the Gurkit Charitable Foundation, which has been supporting the military since 2022.
Both experienced runners and beginners can participate in the event. The distances are adapted for different fitness levels, and you can join individually, with family, or with friends.
The event will take place not only in the Ukrainian capital but also in other countries around the world, where partner races will be organized. Online participation is available to everyone.
Gurkit RUN-2026 race distances:
● 10 km (for experienced runners)
● 5 km (for experienced runners)
● 1 km (for beginners and young participants)
● 420 meters (for beginners and young participants)

All funds raised during registration will be directed toward supporting the Ukrainian military.
The amount of the charitable contribution depends on the registration date:
● Before May 1, the participation fee is 850 UAH
● Before May 15 — 900 UAH
● Before June 1 — 950 UAH
● Before June 5 — 1,000 UAH

In previous years, the race was held under the name “I Run for Those in Combat Boots.” It was joined by military personnel, veterans and their families, representatives of the government and corporate sectors, professional runners, and outdoor enthusiasts. Last year’s event raised nearly 2 million UAH, which was used to purchase trench-based electronic warfare equipment for the military.
