Montenegro denied entry to 90 passengers on a flight from Serbia
At Tivat Airport in Montenegro, law enforcement officers and intelligence agency personnel detained a charter flight arriving from Belgrade for inspection. After the inspection, the passengers were denied entry into the country. According to media reports, all 90 people on board were denied entry. The plane remained grounded on the runway for some time.
The incident occurred on the morning of June 3, at 10:41 a.m. local time, when an Embraer E195 aircraft carrying approximately 90 Serbian citizens landed at Tivat Airport.
It is noted that the charter flight immediately came under special scrutiny by Montenegrin law enforcement, which was conducting heightened security checks in preparation for the summit of EU and Western Balkan leaders.

The plane, which was scheduled to depart for Belgrade at 11:40 a.m., was detained for a thorough inspection. The passengers flatly refused to answer questions from border guards and police regarding the purpose of their visit to Montenegro.
Following this, Montenegrin intelligence agencies decided to impose a complete entry ban on the entire group of passengers, who are suspected of attempting to carry out “hybrid influence.”
According to sources within the leadership of the Montenegrin Police Directorate, a significant portion of the arriving Serbian citizens had previously come to the attention of the special services as individuals of interest to security agencies, and many of them have criminal records and a history of criminal activity.
According to available information, this group was tasked with providing “informal security” for Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić during his stay at an international summit in Tivat.
The Montenegrin Police Directorate confirmed the incident and noted that measures were being taken to ensure public order during the international event.
All 90 passengers were officially denied entry at the border. They were all deported back to Belgrade on the same plane.
