The Kyiv City State Administration notified the police of its intention to hold a march in support of Fedorov

The Kyiv City State Administration received a request from activists to hold a march in the center of the capital on July 31. The event was planned as a protest against the resignation of former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

In response, representatives of the Kyiv City State Administration explained in writing to the organizer that under martial law—which has currently been extended until August 2, 2026—the holding of any mass demonstrations or gatherings is strictly prohibited by law. Since law enforcement agencies are responsible for maintaining public order, information about the planned event was forwarded to the Main Directorate of the National Police and the Kyiv Patrol Police.

The rally was initiated by Dmytro Koziatynskyi, a former combat medic with the “Wolves of Da Vinci” battalion. In his statements, he called on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to continue the dialogue with Mykhailo Fedorov and give him a year to implement the necessary reforms.

On July 28, due to the threat of rocket attacks, a memorial event for the victims of the terrorist attack in Olenivka on Independence Square and a rally against the resignation of former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on Franko Square were canceled in Kyiv.
