The government has allocated over 400 million UAH for modular boiler houses in five regions
The Cabinet of Ministers has funded the installation of block-modular boiler houses in five regions of Ukraine to increase the resilience of heat supply systems, according to the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development.
The funding amounts to over UAH 400 million for the installation of 75 boiler units with a total capacity exceeding 372 MW in the Lviv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.
The funds are aimed at implementing regional resilience plans and decentralizing the heating system.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba, some of the necessary equipment is already available in the regions and needs to be connected promptly.
The new boiler houses are expected to strengthen energy infrastructure and ensure a stable heating season next winter.
Regional administrations and local communities are required to commission the equipment before the start of winter.
Ukraine is already preparing for the next winter season and restoring energy infrastructure damaged by Russian strikes.
In 2025, Ukraine imported fuel and energy goods from 69 countries worth $10.5 billion, which is 18.3% more than the previous year.
