Eccentrica unveiled an open-top Lamborghini Diablo restomod with a V12 engine and a manual transmission
The Italian company Eccentrica has unveiled the V12 Roadster—an open-top restomod based on the Lamborghini Diablo. The car’s public debut is scheduled for August 14 during The Quail event as part of Monterey Car Week, according to Motor1.
The model is an evolution of the Eccentrica V12 coupe and combines the proportions of a 1990s supercar with a refined design and modern components. Production will be limited to 19 units, each of which will be customized according to the owner’s preferences.
The Roadster is equipped with a reworked naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V12 engine that produces 550 k. s. at 7,000 revolutions per minute and 443 pound-feet of torque. Power is transmitted through a six-speed manual transmission with an open-shift design. According to Motor1, the car accelerates from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds. Eccentrica claims a top speed of 208 miles per hour.

The decision to remove the roof required a separate aerodynamic study to manage airflow around the open cabin, the company notes. The chassis has also been reinforced with carbon-fiber structural elements. The body combines steel and carbon fiber, and the car features a wider track, revised suspension geometry, semi-active shock absorbers, hydraulic steering, and modern Brembo brakes.
The interior features Connolly leather, Alcantara, anodized materials, and exposed carbon fiber. As part of the comprehensive redesign, over 3,500 custom components were developed for the car. The Roadster’s design was created in collaboration with the Milan-based studio Borromeo De Silva, and development was led by former Lamborghini technical director Maurizio Reggiani, who worked on models such as the Murciélago, Gallardo, Aventador, and Huracán.
