EVgo announces opening of Los Angeles’ largest non-Tesla charging station
EVgo has opened a new fast-charging station for electric vehicles on South Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles, United States. The company said it is the city’s largest charging station for electric cars not owned by Tesla. The site has 10 charging stalls and 20 charging connectors with power ratings of up to 350 kW. CHAdeMO support
The station has two CHAdeMO connectors, each capable of delivering up to 100 kW. This type of connector was used by the two previous generations of the Nissan Leaf, as well as some Japanese plug-in hybrids, including the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.
The remaining 18 charging cables are equipped with CCS connectors. Power is distributed among the charging stalls as follows: two stalls at 100 kW each, three at 200 kW each, and five at 350 kW each. There are no cables with NACS connectors at this location, but vehicles with such ports can use adapters to charge via CCS.

Location and the EVgo network
The station is located near the Santa Monica Freeway in the Mid-City area. Restaurants, grocery stores and other retail outlets are nearby.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Alternative Fuels Data Center, EVgo operates 1,175 fast-charging stations in the United States, where a total of 5,185 ports are available to the public. Most stations in the network support Plug & Charge, a feature under which charging starts automatically after the vehicle is connected if a payment method has been set up in the user’s account.
EVgo has also begun installing Tesla Supercharger stations with V4 chargers and is adding NACS connectors at some existing locations.
