Ferrari unveils its first electric sports car, Luce, in South Korea
Italy’s Ferrari has unveiled its first fully electric sports car, the Luce, in South Korea. The media presentation took place at the Ferrari Korea showroom in the Cheongdam-dong district in southern Seoul, Korea Herald reports. The model made its global debut in May.
Four electric motors and driving range
The five-seat Luce is equipped with four electric motors — one for each wheel. The car received a 122 kWh battery using nickel-manganese-cobalt cells supplied by South Korean company SK On.
The claimed driving range is up to 530 kilometers on a single charge. The powertrain’s total output reaches 1,050 horsepower, while acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.5 seconds, according to Ferrari.
Samsung Display OLED screens
Ferrari developed the Luce design and cabin interface in collaboration with LoveFrom, a studio led by former Apple design chief Jony Ive and industrial designer Marc Newson. The manufacturer said the partnership focused on a minimalist exterior and an interior with clean forms.

The cabin features an OLED system jointly developed with Samsung Display. The company supplied four types of OLED panels: 12-inch and 12.9-inch displays for the multilayer instrument panel, a 10.1-inch screen, and a 6.3-inch display for rear-seat passengers.
The system’s development took about four years. Three circular holes, each approximately 100 mm in diameter, were created in the OLED panel; Samsung Display called it the first such solution for automotive OLED displays.
Ferrari has already begun accepting orders for the Luce. According to a Ferrari Korea representative, deliveries to customers in South Korea are expected next year.
