In South Africa, Porsche CEO Michael Leiters told employees that the company does not plan to cut an additional approximately 4,000 jobs. This was stated in an internal memo seen by Reuters. According to TimesLIVE, Leiters said that the current restructuring plan does not provide for such additional cuts.
Response to Handelsblatt report
The head of Porsche responded to a Handelsblatt report stating that Volkswagen’s supervisory board considers another 4,100 jobs at Porsche redundant. The publication mentioned these potential cuts in addition to the 9,000 layoffs that had already been agreed upon.

Leiters noted that Porsche’s own supervisory board had already approved the restructuring plan. According to him, the company does not expect changes to this plan. Porsche is a Volkswagen division that produces sports cars.
