Porsche expands equipment for the electric Cayenne
German brand Porsche is expanding the list of options and personalization possibilities for the fully electric Cayenne. The new features will be available for the Cayenne Electric in SUV and Coupé body styles as part of the new model year in markets where these models are sold, TimesLIVE reports.
Power-operated doors and charging
The electric Cayenne will be available to order with power operation for all four doors for the first time. Servo motors will open and close the doors after a brief pull on the handle. The system can also be controlled using buttons in the cabin, through the Porsche Communication Management multimedia system, or remotely with the Porsche Digital Key.
Sensors will monitor the space around the doors and stop their movement if a person or obstacle is detected. The system can also prevent a door from opening if the exit warning function detects an approaching vehicle. The ability to operate the doors manually will remain.
Another option will be Porsche Wireless Charging. For cable-free charging, the vehicle must be parked over a stationary ground panel, after which the process will begin automatically. Power transmission capacity will be up to 11 kW, while system efficiency will be approximately 90%.

Comfort and personalization
The wireless charging system has motion sensors and a foreign object detection function. Charging will be interrupted automatically if a person or animal approaches the vehicle or panel, as well as if a metal object on the panel heats up. The system can already be ordered in Germany and other European countries, while Porsche plans to roll it out globally in stages.
A massage function with 4D audio will be offered for the front seats: each seat will have 16 air cushions and six sound actuators in the cushion and backrest. Five massage programs will be available, and the actuators can be used separately to create an audio effect through vibrations. The function has also been integrated into Mood Modes, with three Wellness settings added.
The number of Cayenne Electric exterior color options will increase to 105 through the model's inclusion in the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Paint to Sample program. In addition to 13 standard colors, customers will be able to choose other shades. New interior solutions include the Extended Package Interior Style with additional leather trim and Delgada Green decorative stitching, as well as seat consoles in leather and Race-Tex and Race-Tex-covered door sill trims.
