Subaru to unveil limited WRX GD25 and BRZ ZC15 with manual transmissions — Motor1

Subaru has prepared limited-edition WRX GD25 and BRZ ZC15 versions for the 2027 model year, available exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. The special models are dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the WRX debut on the U.S. market and the 15th anniversary of the BRZ, Motor1 reports.

WRX GD25 version

The Subaru WRX GD25 will be offered only in World Rally Blue with gold 19-inch alloy wheels and Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires. The model will receive upgraded Brembo brakes with gold calipers, as well as a carbon-fiber swan-neck rear wing from Subaru Tecnica International. The same wing is fitted to Travis Pastrana’s WRX ARA25L rally car.

The sedan’s suspension has also been retuned, with stiffer springs installed and damper settings revised. A flexible strut brace is provided under the hood. The turbocharged 2.4-liter boxer engine produces 271 hp, as in the regular version. The manual transmission will feature an STI short-throw shifter. The cabin will be fitted with Recaro seats featuring black Ultrasuede inserts and red stitching.

BRZ ZC15 features

The BRZ ZC15 coupe will be painted Ceramic White, a color that was exclusive to the model’s first generation. The car will receive matte bronze wheels, referring to the color scheme of the 2020 BRZ tS, red brake calipers, bronze trim elements, and a black trunk-lid spoiler.

To increase body rigidity, the BRZ will be equipped with a flexible V-shaped brace. The coupe will retain its 2.4-liter boxer engine producing 228 hp and a six-speed manual transmission.

Subaru plans to produce 350 WRX GD25 units and 300 BRZ ZC15 units. BRZ sales are expected to begin in early 2027, while the WRX will follow the next summer. The manufacturer promised to announce prices closer to the start of sales.
