An arbitration administrator has been notified of suspicion of causing the state more than 60 million hryvnias in losses through the illegal sale of property belonging to the "Kyiv Radio Plant."
This was reported by law enforcement officials.
According to the investigation, in 2017, the company’s liquidator, abusing his authority, organized a scheme to sell state assets at a significantly undervalued price.
This involved an integrated property complex consisting of six production facilities and corporate rights, which was sold to a private company for approximately 10 million hryvnias, while its market value exceeded 60 million hryvnias.
The investigation also established that the sale took place in violation of the law, specifically without taking into account that the enterprise belongs to the defense-industrial complex and is not subject to privatization.
The suspect is charged with abuse of authority resulting in serious consequences. He faces up to eight years in prison.
In March 2024, a Bihus.Info investigation reported that Kachny’s 87-year-old mother-in-law had gifted her daughter 6.5 million hryvnias in 2022 but could not recall what business her family was involved in.
Earlier, a group of MPs registered a draft resolution in the Verkhovna Rada titled “On the Loss of Parliamentary Mandates by Certain Members of the Ukrainian Parliament” (No. 7323). The document proposes stripping OPZZh party leader Viktor Medvedchuk and several other party members, including Kachny, of their parliamentary mandates.
