The prosecutor's office is seeking to recover 14 million hryvnias from the developer of the "Nordica Residence" residential complex
The Pechersk District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv has filed a lawsuit against the developer of a residential complex on Zaliznychne Shosse for failure to pay a share contribution.
The company built a facility covering more than 25,000 square meters but failed to transfer over 14 million hryvnias to the capital’s budget.
Prosecutors determined that the developer failed to comply with legal requirements regarding the financing of the city’s infrastructure development.
“Having built a residential building with a total area of over 25,000 square meters, the developer failed to pay the statutory contribution to the capital’s local budget,” the agency noted.
The contribution was mandatory for all construction clients whose obligations arose before the official cancellation of this payment in early 2021.
Since the construction of the “Nordica Residence” residential complex falls under the old legislation, the company was required to make a payment to the city treasury.
Currently, the Kyiv Commercial Court has opened proceedings and begun hearing the case based on a lawsuit filed by the prosecutor’s office in the interests of the state.
Law enforcement officials insist on the full recovery of the debt, which is to be used for the improvement and social needs of the residents of the Pecherskyi district.
The residential complex is linked to the development company “RIEL,” owned by Lviv entrepreneur Rostislav Melnyk.
Recently, there have been changes in the company’s management structure, and Oleksiy Zozulia has taken over as CEO, replacing the founder in this position.
As a reminder, the prosecutor’s office will appeal the lenient preventive measure imposed on SBU officials.
The prosecutor’s office has also blocked a scheme involving the sale of fake law enforcement IDs.
