Death of a wounded soldier in a Kyiv hospital: police have opened an investigation
In Kyiv, law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 42-year-old soldier Serhiy Kuznetsov, who died on June 9 at the Kyiv City Clinical Emergency Hospital.
According to police, the soldier, a member of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade, had been undergoing treatment since April for severe gunshot wounds sustained on the front lines.
Investigators have opened a criminal case and ordered a series of expert examinations to determine the exact cause of death and assess the quality of the medical care provided.
Additionally, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office, an investigation has been launched under the article regarding the improper performance of professional duties by medical personnel.
