Following a massive Russian attack on Kyiv overnight, State Emergency Service bomb disposal experts recovered and defused an unexploded warhead from a missile that struck a building but failed to detonate.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Kyiv.
Due to the danger, residents of nearby buildings were temporarily evacuated while pyrotechnicians worked to neutralize the munition.
Afterward, the dangerous find was promptly removed for subsequent disposal.
The State Emergency Service also reported that one of its units came under Russian fire during the nighttime attack. At the time of the attack, a shift of 30 rescuers was in the building, but everyone managed to take cover.
The strike destroyed 10 fire trucks, but the unit was able to resume operations within a few hours in a safe location.
