A shooting occurred near a hospital in Kyiv; one person was injured
A shooting occurred in the Svyatoshynsky District of Kyiv on the morning of September 3, resulting in one person being wounded. The suspect fled the scene after the incident and is currently being sought by law enforcement.
The police received a report of a shooting in the Svyatoshynsky district on the morning of September 3.
“Law enforcement received a report of a shooting in the Svyatoshynsky district this morning. So far, one person is known to have been injured; doctors are providing him with medical care,” the police press service reported.
Upon receiving the alert, personnel from the territorial and central police departments were mobilized.
Additional law enforcement personnel, including members of the KORD special unit, were deployed to search for and apprehend the suspect.
According to information from social media, the incident occurred near a hospital close to the “Zhytomyrska” metro station.
Law enforcement is currently determining the location and circumstances of the shooting, the identity of the assailant, the motives behind his actions, and other details of the incident.
The police are continuing their search for the suspect.

It is still too early to speak of a “war between intelligence agencies” between the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate following the nighttime shooting in Kyiv. This opinion was expressed by Viktor Yagun, a reserve major general of the SBU and an expert on national security issues.
A video of the conflict involving gunfire between employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate in Kyiv is circulating online. The released footage shows a verbal altercation and a scuffle between those involved in the incident, which later escalated into SBU special forces firing at GUR operatives.
As a reminder, a shooting occurred in Kyiv, and security forces were spotted at the scene.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the shooting between representatives of the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate in Kyiv “absolutely shameful” and ordered a full investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
