An 82-year-old woman was struck and killed by a truck in Kyiv
A fatal traffic accident involving a truck and a pedestrian occurred in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv.
According to preliminary police reports, the truck driver was stuck in traffic in the third lane heading toward Otaman Zeleny Street. After the vehicle began moving, he struck a woman born in 1943 who was crossing the roadway in an unmarked area.
The victim died at the scene from her injuries before medical personnel arrived.
Investigators are currently on the scene determining the circumstances, causes, and mechanism of the accident. The legal classification of the incident is also being determined.
