In Kyiv, a man under the influence of alcohol was walking through a supermarket and frightening shoppers with an object that resembled a weapon. It later turned out to be a toy. The man turned out to be a military serviceman on reserve duty. Police arrived at the scene and detained him.

According to reports, the police recently received a report that an armed man was walking around a store on Kopernika Street. Witnesses noted that the man appeared intoxicated and was behaving strangely.
Police officers arrived at the scene and "disarmed" the man.
It was established that the 40-year-old serviceman, who had left his military unit without permission, was walking around the store with a rifle, which turned out to be a toy.


Law enforcement officers initiated criminal proceedings for hooliganism and subsequently handed the man over to military law enforcement.
