Actor Adrian Grenier hopes for an Entourage reboot — The National

American actor Adrian Grenier, in Abu Dhabi, UAE, said that he hopes for a reboot of the series Entourage, in which he played Hollywood star Vincent Chase. In his view, the project’s return should offer a new take on the world of the film industry, which has changed significantly since the series ended in 2011.

As The National reports, Grenier called Entourage a “time capsule” and noted that it is impossible to recreate the show in its original form. He believes that a new project should be somewhat self-reflective and examine its own past.

Modern Hollywood

Grenier said he is interested in how his character and Chase’s friends would react to contemporary changes in the industry, including the MeToo movement and the development of artificial intelligence. The actor explained that he hopes for a reboot in order to find out how the characters would cope with the present day.

Entourage had eight seasons, and a feature film was released in 2015. Grenier said he is ready to return to the role, but is currently waiting for a suitable offer.

New television project

At the same time, the actor is developing a television series about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, using Self Custody as proof of concept. The project could allow him to film close to his home in Texas and spend more time with his family.

Near Austin, Grenier is also developing an agricultural residential community where families from different generations will be able to live nearby, grow food and spend time outdoors. According to him, fatherhood has influenced his choice of work: he seeks to take part only in meaningful, high-quality projects and wants to have a production and supervisory role in the future series.
