A British actress has been accused of smuggling 320 kg of methamphetamine
In Australia, 34-year-old British actress Emmy Hussen has been charged with attempting to import a large shipment of methamphetamine concealed among a cargo of charcoal.
According to investigators, the drugs were discovered during an inspection of containers that arrived by sea from Ghana to the Port of Sydney. Forensic analysis confirmed that the seized substance was methamphetamine.
The total weight of the shipment was approximately 320 kg, and law enforcement estimates its value at nearly 296 million Australian dollars.
Investigators believe the actress may have been involved in organizing the shipment and was present during the unloading of the containers. During the searches, law enforcement also seized electronic storage devices and documents.
Several other suspects are implicated in the case alongside Hussen. The next court hearing is scheduled for August. If convicted, the actress faces life in prison.
