Dwayne Johnson has admitted for the first time that he suspected he had cancer
Famous Hollywood actor and professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson has spoken openly for the first time about serious health concerns. According to the star, he discovered a suspicious growth on his genitals, which caused him to live in fear of a possible cancer diagnosis for some time.
The 54-year-old actor admitted that one day he noticed the growth while taking a shower. A few days later, he went to see a doctor, but at first he didn’t tell his wife about the problem.
“I didn’t tell Lauren—I didn’t want to worry her until I knew if there was anything to worry about at all. The doctor felt the lump and said it was probably epididymitis—an inflammation of the coiled tube at the back of the testicle,” Johnson said.
According to the actor, the doctors warned that the growth could be more serious, so an ultrasound was needed to confirm the diagnosis.
At the time, Johnson was in the middle of a major promotional campaign for the movie Jumanji, so he couldn’t get tested right away.
“I had to live with it without knowing the truth. But I was on the phone, joking, giving speeches. By the way, I’m fine now—it really was a case of epididymitis—but I didn’t know that back then, and it was very painful,” the actor noted.
Ultimately, the examination confirmed that the growth was not malignant. Doctors diagnosed him with epididymitis—an inflammatory condition of the epididymis that can be accompanied by pain and swelling.
The actor also recalled that in 2024, he experienced intestinal issues. According to him, they arose after several courses of antibiotics, which disrupted the balance of bacteria responsible for regulating metabolism.
Despite the difficulties he has faced, Dwayne Johnson continues his active acting career and assures everyone that he is feeling well.
Earlier, American-Canadian actor and wrestler Dwayne Johnson, known by the nickname “The Rock,” addressed Ukrainian soldiers of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
