Singer Psy to perform at festival in Seoul’s Gangnam — Korea Herald
South Korean singer Psy will perform at the Gangnam Festival in Seoul’s Gangnam district, South Korea, on October 4. The performer of the hit Gangnam Style will headline the closing K-pop concert, Korea Herald reports.
Two-day program
The festival, organized by the Gangnam district administration, will run from October 3 to 4 on Dosan-daero, one of the district’s busiest thoroughfares. The program will include a large parade, K-pop concerts and a family concert, as well as events dedicated to fashion, beauty and food.
The parade is scheduled for October 3 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thirty-two Pikachus are expected to take part. A family concert led by singer Nam Jin will take place at 7:00 p.m. the same day. Admission will be free, without advance booking, on a first-come, first-served basis.

The closing concert featuring Psy will begin at 6:00 p.m. on October 4. K-pop groups KiiiKiii, ZeroBaseOne and Lun8 have also been announced. Free tickets for the concert are expected to become available from 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday via Ticketlink.
Traffic restrictions
Part of Dosan-daero will be closed for 53 hours because of the festival. The section between Hakdong Intersection and Dosan Park Intersection, where the main stage will be installed, will be fully closed in both directions from midnight on October 3. Traffic there is scheduled to resume at 5:00 a.m. on October 5 after the structures are dismantled.
Side streets on the northern and southern sides of Dosan-daero will remain open. Separate restrictions will be in effect on October 3 on the section between the southern end of Yeongdong Bridge, Cheongdam Intersection and Hakdong Intersection: six northbound lanes will be closed, while traffic will move in both directions on the southbound lanes. The parade route will stretch for about one kilometer, from Cheongdam Intersection to Dosan Park Intersection. Some bus routes near the venue will be adjusted.
