Art events to support flood victims to take place in Kathmandu Valley — Kathmandu Post
Art, music and community events have been planned in Nepal’s Kathmandu Valley, with some of them intended to support people affected by flooding. The event program was reported by Kathmandu Post.
Workshops and fair
On September 12, the practical pottery workshop Pottery Work 2.0 will be held at Rotary Hall in Thapathali. Participants will be able to take their creations home, while proceeds from the event will go toward helping communities affected by floods. The workshop will run from 11:00 to 17:00, and admission costs 190 rupees.
On the same day, Mellow Pomelo in Swayambhu will host the Art & Craft Fair. The program includes a fair of handmade goods, ceramics and needle felting, as well as food, drinks and a meeting with local artists. Admission is free, and the event starts at 12:00.

Sketching and music
The Urban Sketchers Kathmandu community will organize a free sketching session near Sattapatta-Pukhu in Lalitpur. The meeting will begin at 15:00 on September 12; people without drawing experience are also invited to join.
On the evening of September 12, Amit Jung & The Gorkhey will perform at Eden Amphitheatre in Sanepa. The musicians will perform Nepali folk and contemporary rock, and the proceeds are intended to help flood victims. The performance is scheduled to begin at 17:00, and a ticket costs 500 rupees.
Also, on September 18, GK Cafe in Pulchowk will host Show Night featuring singers, poets and comedians. The winner of the live show will be determined by ticket sales. The event will run from 18:00 to 20:00, and admission is 150 rupees.
