A wall collapsed at the Khotyn Fortress; the area has been cordoned off
A partial collapse of one of the walls occurred at the Khotyn Fortress in Bukovina. No one was injured in the incident.
This was reported by Andriy Dranchuk, the mayor of Khotyn.
According to him, the collapse was significant, but most importantly, no one was injured. The damage occurred on the grounds of the state historical and architectural reserve.
Rescue workers were quickly called in to address the situation, and tourist access to the affected area has been temporarily restricted.

Experts are currently assessing the extent of the damage. Regional authorities and relevant ministries have already been notified of the situation. Efforts to secure funding for restoration work are also underway.
The Khotyn Fortress is one of Ukraine’s most famous historical landmarks and is included in the list of the “Seven Wonders of Ukraine.”
