Preparations begin in Sydney for Australia-China gala concert
According to ECNS, preparations have officially begun in Sydney for the sixth Australia-China Spring Festival Gala Concert. It will be one of the key events of the 2027 Australia-China Cultural Week, scheduled for January 23–31.

Nearly 100 guests from China and Australia attended the event marking the start of preparations. Organizers said that the gala concert will be included in the cultural week’s program.
Suo Jiang, director of the gala concert and president of the Australia-China Association for Cultural and Friendly Exchange, said that the event has developed from a single performance into a large-scale platform for cultural exchange.

Cultural week program
The cultural week will be dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia. The program includes art exhibitions, performances and other events intended to promote mutual understanding.
Chinese tenor Ding Yi, a professor at the China Conservatory of Music, was appointed artistic director of the gala concert. Organizers noted that artists from both countries will present traditional Chinese culture alongside contemporary art, emphasizing cultural cooperation.
