Capital.com launches stock and ETF investing in Europe from Cyprus — Cyprus Mail
In Cyprus, the Capital.com platform has launched the option for clients in Europe to invest directly in stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The new service is intended to complement the platform’s short-term trading instruments with opportunities for long-term investing, Cyprus Mail reports.
More than 2,280 instruments
The offering includes more than 2,280 stocks and ETFs on the US and European markets, including securities of local European companies. Direct ownership of stocks and ETFs is intended for clients planning long-term investments.
The company said there is no commission for investing in stocks and ETFs. The service is available to clients who meet the established criteria in almost all markets of the European Economic Area.

Capital.com provides this service without investment recommendations: the platform only executes transactions and does not advise clients on which stocks or ETFs to buy. Access to the new products will be provided through the standard onboarding procedure, while client assets will be held in accordance with the protection mechanisms in place at the company’s regulated entities.
Combining trading and investing
Capital.com’s CEO in Europe, Christoforos Soutzis, said that clients often combine short-term trading with building long-term positions. According to him, the company expanded its range of services to give users a choice between these approaches on a single platform.
Stocks and ETFs are available alongside Capital.com’s research tools, chart analysis tools and portfolio tools in the web version and app. Europe became the first region for the launch of the new product. The company also announced plans to expand the service to other markets, including the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, over the coming months.
