Bacardi began producing Martini in Dagestan following the launch of its rum production in Russia
The Bacardi spirits company has expanded its production in Russia: following the localization of Bacardi Oakheart rum production in Tula, the company has launched industrial bottling of Martini Bianco vermouth and Martini Fiero aperitif in Dagestan.
The first batches of products were manufactured by Alvisa, Bacardi’s partner in Russia. Production was set up at the “Chateau Alvisa” winery in the village of Chinar. This is confirmed by reports submitted by the manufacturer to Rosalkogoltutunkontrol.
According to the documents, declarations were filed in July 2026 for Martini Bianco with an alcohol content of 15% and Martini Fiero with an alcohol content of 14.9%. The first product shipments began on July 17 and 20, respectively.
Alvisa plans to produce about 1 million deciliters of vermouth per year—approximately 10 million liters—exclusively for the Russian market. Previously, Martini was supplied to Russia from Argentina.
At the same time, according to The Insider, “Alvisa” is owned by the family of Zaur Askenderov, the chairman of the People’s Assembly of Dagestan. Since 2022, he has regularly supported Russian military personnel participating in the war against Ukraine, and in 2023, he opened “Technolit,” a training center for FPV drone operators.
Bacardi had previously announced the localization of part of its production in Russia, despite Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
