Following SpaceX’s initial public offering in June, other university endowments that had invested in the company through venture capital firms—sometimes more than a decade ago—also saw returns. The University of California’s investment arm reported a position of approximately $1 billion this week. Among other institutions that benefited from the investments, the publication names the University of North Carolina and Washington University in St. Louis.

According to Fortune, SpaceX’s valuation exceeds $1.8 trillion. Since its debut at $135, the company’s stock price has fluctuated: on Friday, it fell 0.9% and closed at $140.

Asset managers who control more than $100 million in U.S. stocks are required to file Form 13F within 45 days after the end of each quarter. In the document, they disclose their positions in stocks traded on U.S. stock exchanges.
