Samsung to begin entry-level recruitment at 19 companies in South Korea
Samsung in South Korea will begin recruitment for the second half of the year on Tuesday: 19 group companies will seek employees for entry-level positions as part of a group-wide recruitment program. Applications will be accepted until September 15 through the Samsung Careers website, the company said.
Companies and selection process
Companies participating in the recruitment include Samsung Electronics, Samsung C&T, Samsung Biologics, Samsung Bioepis, Samsung Display, Samsung SDI, Samsung SDS, Samsung Heavy Industries, Hotel Shilla and Cheil Worldwide, reports Korea Herald.
In September, candidates will undergo an assessment of their suitability for the position. The Global Samsung Aptitude Test is scheduled for October, while interviews will take place in November. Applicants for software positions will take a practical test instead of the GSAT, while candidates for design positions will be assessed based on their portfolios.

Regular open recruitment
The recruitment comes amid Samsung's expansion of domestic investments in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, batteries and displays. The company also aims to create more employment opportunities for young people.
Samsung has maintained regular open recruitment since 1957, when it introduced South Korea's first such employment system. Hyundai Motor Group, LG and SK have moved to continuous recruitment for specific positions, leaving Samsung as the only one of South Korea's four largest conglomerates to retain a regular group-wide recruitment program.
