Fuel Prices in Ukraine on September 7: How Much Do Gasoline, Diesel, and Natural Gas Cost?
As of September 7, 2026, gas station chains in Ukraine have updated their fuel prices. The average price for A-95 is 83.18 UAH per liter, and for diesel fuel, 93.82 UAH.
Ukraine’s largest gas station chains have updated their fuel prices. Compared to the previous day, fuel prices remained unchanged at most chains. At the same time, KLO and Ukrnafta raised prices on certain types of fuel.
Currently, the most expensive fuel is offered by the Okko, WOG, and Socar chains, while the lowest prices are traditionally found at BRSM-Nafta and Ukrnafta gas stations.
After prices fell in early summer, the Ukrainian market faced a sharp rise in gasoline and diesel prices in late July. In August, the upward trend gave way to stabilization, and wholesale prices for diesel began to decline.
Experts note that retail prices react to changes in the wholesale market with a delay. “Prices rise quickly, but they come down much more slowly,” explained Mykhailo Gonchar.
Ukraine is heavily dependent on imported petroleum products, so Ukrainian gas stations primarily focus on the situation in the European market.
The final price is also influenced by purchase costs, logistics, exchange rates, inventories, and demand. Russian strikes on port infrastructure further increase the cost of fuel delivery, as some maritime shipments must be replaced with overland routes.
Russian strikes on fuel infrastructure have become a separate risk factor for the market. According to Der Spiegel, more than 200 Ukrainian gas stations have been attacked since April.
Major chains are restoring damaged stations, so the attacks have not yet caused a nationwide fuel shortage. “There are two main objectives behind this—to sow terror and break the spirit of resistance among ordinary people, and the second is propaganda,” explained Serhiy Kuyun.
Experts do not currently consider the situation a fuel crisis. There is enough fuel on the market, although supply problems may arise locally, primarily in frontline regions.
“A crisis is when there isn’t enough fuel and there’s nowhere to get it. Currently, there are certain supply issues in frontline regions, but these problems can be resolved,” noted Gennadiy Ryabtsev.
As a reminder, as of September 1, 2026, the largest gas station chains in Ukraine updated their fuel prices. The average price of A-95 gasoline is about 80.63 UAH/liter, and diesel fuel is 91.77 UAH/liter; the most expensive fuel is currently sold by the OKKO, WOG, and SOCAR chains.
