Businessman Zhevago reported a "hostile takeover" of FC Vorskla

Businessman Zhevago reported a "hostile takeover" of FC Vorskla

Businessman Konstantin Zhevago has alleged that the Vorskla football club was the victim of a hostile takeover.

This was reported by Espreso.

According to him, this was made possible by illegal decisions of the Supreme Court, which were allegedly initiated by employees of the State Bureau of Investigation.

This refers to the loss of control over 100% of the club’s shares due to the bankruptcy proceedings of the company “Neominerals,” which owns “Vorskla.”

Zhevago claims that as a result of these actions, the legitimate owners were stripped of their rights to manage the club, and control passed to other individuals.

The club’s leadership was also changed, specifically the powers of the acting CEO and the management team were terminated.

According to the businessman, lawyers are already preparing legal steps to challenge these decisions.

Last December, the Supreme Court refused to grant Oschadbank’s appeal against the lower courts’ decisions fully recognizing the state bank’s claims against oligarch Kostyantyn Zhevago’s company AvtoKrAZ.

The Enforcement Division of the State Enforcement Service Department of the Ministry of Justice has initiated proceedings to seize the assets of Zhevago’s company, the Kyiv Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant. The plant serves as a guarantor for the obligations of the bankrupt bank “Finance and Credit.”
