Enes Kanter Freedom ejected from WNBA game after dispute
Former NBA center Enes Kanter Freedom was ejected from the area near the court during a WNBA game between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky. As ABC News Australia reports, the incident occurred late in the third quarter at Wintrust Arena.
Dispute near the court
Kanter Freedom was sitting near the baseline wearing a black T-shirt bearing the words “WOMAN noun. adult human female.” After Chicago guard Natasha Cloud made a basket with 1 minute 22 seconds remaining in the third quarter, Indiana called a timeout.
Cloud then approached Kanter Freedom. Earlier, she had shouted and pointed in his direction. The former basketball player raised his hands and stepped onto the court. Security and several Chicago players stood between the participants in the dispute before it escalated further.

Security actions
After the incident, Kanter Freedom was escorted from the court area. As he headed toward the lobby, he displayed his T-shirt, and before leaving Wintrust Arena, he spoke with a group of police officers.
Earlier this month, Kanter Freedom and another former NBA player, Royce White, declared their right to participate in the WNBA draft, stating that they identify as women. Both have publicly opposed the participation of transgender athletes in women’s sports.
