FC Polissya and Brazilian player Talles Costa have ended their partnership
The Zhytomyr-based football club "Polissya" has officially announced the termination of its contract with 23-year-old Brazilian midfielder Talles Costa.
According to the club’s press service, the player joined the team in February 2024 and became an important part of the starting lineup during his time with the “Wolves.” In total, he played 46 matches for Zhytomyr, scoring one goal and providing six assists.
The club’s management expressed gratitude to the player for his professionalism, dedication, and contribution to the team’s development over the past two years. The press service’s statement notes that the parties parted ways by mutual agreement, maintaining a high level of mutual respect. It is currently unknown where the Brazilian player will continue his professional career.
As of April 2, 2026, Polissya is in third place in the Ukrainian Premier League standings, with 42 points after the 21st round. The loss of the creative midfielder will force the coaching staff to seek new tactical solutions in the final stage of the championship, where the Zhytomyr team is fighting for a top-three finish and a spot in European competitions. It is expected that the club may intensify its search for a replacement for Talles Costa in the near future.
As a reminder, the capital’s football powerhouse demonstrated rapid financial growth, ending 2025 with a net profit of 275.6 million UAH.
Kyiv’s Dynamo confidently defeated Oleksandriya in an away match of the 21st round of the Ukrainian Premier League. Andriy Yarmolenko opened the scoring in the 4th minute. This goal marked his 119th in the championships of independent Ukraine. Only Maksym Shats’kikh (124) and Serhiy Rebrov (123) have scored more.
