Curaçao national team goalkeeper Eloy Rom made history at the World Cup by setting a record for the most saves in regulation time.

In the match against Ecuador, the 37-year-old goalkeeper made 15 saves and helped his team secure a 0-0 draw. Thanks to this, Curaçao earned its first point in the history of its World Cup appearances.

The previous record was held by Peru’s Ramón Quiroz and Mexico’s Guillermo Ochoa, who each made 13 saves in a single match at different World Cups.
