Iheanacho scores brace in Bursaspor’s win over Manisa
In Manisa, Turkey, Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored two goals and helped Bursaspor defeat Manisa 2-1 in a Turkish First League match. The encounter at the Manisa 19 Mayıs Stadium took place on Monday evening.
Comeback win for the visitors
The hosts opened the scoring in the 20th minute thanks to a goal by Cheikhne Silla. Iheanacho equalized seven minutes later: he received the ball on the edge of the penalty area, beat several defenders and fired into the bottom corner of Vedat Karakuş’s goal.
In stoppage time, the forward scored for a second time. After an error by goalkeeper Karakuş, Iheanacho reached the ball first and sent it into the net from close range. According to Premium Times Nigeria, this goal secured Bursaspor an away win.

Iheanacho has scored in each of the six league matches he has played since the start of the 2026/27 season. He found the net in matches against Bodrum FK, Iğdır FK, Karagümrük, Kayserispor, İstanbulspor and Manisa.
After the first six matches of the season, the player has eight goals and two assists to his name. Iheanacho joined Bursaspor in the summer.
