Ukrainian tennis player Angelina Kalinina has advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA 125 tournament in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
In the second-round match, the Ukrainian (WTA No. 127) confidently defeated Italy’s Nuria Brancaccio (No. 151) with a score of 6-0, 6-2. The match lasted one hour.
To reach the semifinals, Kalinina will face the winner of the match between Polona Hercog (Slovenia) and Tamara Korpatsch (Germany).
This is the fourth consecutive tournament in which the Ukrainian has reached the quarterfinals. Earlier in March, she won two WTA 125 tournaments in Antalya.
As a reminder, Elina Svitolina advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA 1000.
Also, Novak Djokovic lost to Jack Draper in the round of 16 at Indian Wells.
